The Honorable Dickon Mitchell, the Prime Minister of Grenada, played a pivotal role in orchestrating this gala, marking it as a significant milestone in strengthening the ties between Grenada and its diaspora in the United Kingdom.

The resilience and camaraderie among those in attendance were evident as a group of individuals, including Wendy McEwen, Niasha Toole-Kens-Douglas, and Dawn DeCoteau, took it upon themselves to roll up their sleeves and enter the kitchen.

They worked tirelessly to support the plating up of meals, ensuring that the guests were finally served a delicious Grenadian feast.

This act of unity and dedication embodied the unstoppable Grenadian spirit, and it drew a resounding cheer from the guests. As the food was served and savored, the disappointment of the earlier catering mishap was soon forgotten by many, replaced by a sense of community and shared accomplishment.

The warmth of the Grenadian people shone through in the face of adversity, turning what could have been a disastrous moment into an unforgettable example of “the triumph”, resilience and solidarity.
